  3.       This field should contain the descriptive name of your
  4.  program.  It should be followed by the version number.  Example:

  6.       CD-ROM DESCRIPTION EDITOR 1.0

  8. ~PROGRAM NAME
  9. ~SHORT DESCRIPTION
  10.  
  11.       The short description is used primarily by bulletin board
  12.  systems.  You should enter a short phrase that describes the kind of
  13.  software your program is.  For example:

  15.       3D VGA adventure game
  16.       Full featured finance program
  17.       DOS utilities many features
  18.  
  19.       Try to describe your program with as few opinionated adjectives
  20.  as you can.  For example:  Try not to use words like super, great,
  21.  stunning incredible, fantastic, etc.  Every program on this CD will
  22.  be from a member of the ASP.  You need only to describe your programs
  23.  features and/or function.  Just being on the ASP CD will do the sales.

  25. ~SHORT DESCRIPTION
  26. ~PROGRAM FILENAME

  28.       This is the name of the .ZIP file your program will be stored in.
  29.  It is also the filename the description data you are curently editing
  30.  will be saved under.  This field must have a name in it to save the
  31.  description data.

  33.       When submitting your program to Advantage Plus for inclusion on
  34.  the ASP CD-ROM you should create a .ZIP archive that contains your
  35.  program the way it will appear on the CD-ROM in both it's archive and
  36.  native DOS format.

  38. ~PROGRAM FILENAME
  39. ~NUMBER OF DISKS
  40.  
  41.       This field is only for those programs that require more than one
  42.  disk.  If your program is stored on a three disk set you would enter
  43.  3 in this If it is a one disk program enter 1.

  45. ~NUMBER OF DISKS
  46. ~COMPANY NAME
  47.  
  48.       This field should contain the name of the copyright holder of 
  49.  this program.  This can be your company name or your name as the
  50.  author.

  52. ~COMPANY NAME
  53. ~PROGRAM DATE
  54.  
  55.       This should be the release date of the this program.  This field
  56.  must be entered in this format: 00-00-00.

  60. ~FULL DESCRIPTION

  62.       This field is used to describe your program in full.  The way
  63.  the text appears on screen is the way it will appear in the catalog.
  64.  If a word breaks in the middle you should start the word on the next
  65.  line.  Do not indent for paragraphs.

  69.    *    If you're tight for space abbreviate and use symbols like &
  70.         instead of and.

  75.    HD        - Hard drive
  76.    FD        - Floppy drive
  77.    RAM       - Random access memory
  78.    VGA       - Use standard video abbreviations VGA / EGA / CGA / HERC

  83.        Use the ARROW KEYS to hi-lite a category or press a letter to 
  84.  jump to a specific category.  Use the ENTER key to select a category
  85.  for your program.

  87.        If you feel your program should or could belong in a category
  88.  not listed please include a note with your submission.  We will be
  89.  happy to create new categories if there are enough programs to
  90.  justify it.  You can include a note on disk in a file called APLUS
  91.  .TXT.
